2A Caldera de Taburiente Nationl Park -9

I´m going to tell you about The Caldera de Taburiente Natural Park.
It´s situated in the Canary Islands.
It has got a very big mountain.
In the Flora the spice that dominates and shapes the landscape is the Canary Island pine. We also can find other jaras where grows the batatilla or vaquita, a practically buried parasitic plant. Inside the gullies where moisture is more abundant forest residues found like the acebiño (Ilex canariensis), parrot or laurel (Laurus azorica) barbusano (Apollonias canariensis), Madeira mahogany (Persea indica) or marmolán.
Most of the park's Wildlife is represented by arthropods, mainly insects. There are a lot of centipedes, reaching a size of nearly a foot in length, and the wolf spider. At an altitude of 2000 m there is a cave where an endemic cave beetle Palma, has the peculiarity that has lost eyes and pigmentation lives.
The vertebrate F
auna is scarce and most are introduced species except bats, some amphibians and reptiles.
The main mammals are the Barbary sheep, goats, rabbits, which are a serious threat to native plants, some feral cats and four species of bats as the tailed bat (European free-tailed bat).
We can find a lot of birds as the kestrel (Falco tinnunculus canariensis), the rock dove (Columba livia canariensis), the laurel pigeon (Columba junionae), the farm or chough (Graja), the raven (Corvus corax tingitanus), blackbird ( Turdus merula agnetae), titmice (Parus caeruleus palmensis) or the blackcap (Sylvia atricapilla atricapilla).

Among the amphibians we can find the southern frog (Hyla meridionalis).

There are also reptiles as the Canary Island wall gecko gecko of Delalande or (d Tarentola delalandii.) Or lizard (Gallotia galloti palmae).
